Manchester is historically socially engaged, practical, and open to the world. In that spirit, we provide an interface between quality academic research and those working on devising and implementing policy.
Our activity extends right across the year; but we’re well known for our Policy Week, which explores and advances thinking on big issues of national and international importance.
From 6-10 March 2017, we will be focusing on Industrial Strategy; outputs will range from blog posts to briefings, infographics to roundtables.
We’ll be convening in both Manchester and London – check back, follow us on Twitter or join our mailing list to be the first to hear about opportunities to participate in, inform and shape the debates.
The last Policy Week took place in November 2015, with the theme Science, Technology and Public Policy. It was part of European City of Science Manchester 2016.
Leading thinkers from the world of politics and policy attended Policy Week 2014, with events focusing on the theme of Addressing Inequalities.
