Policy Week 2017

Policy Week 2017 took place from the 6 - 10 March 2017 and focused on the Industrial Strategy. Outputs ranged from blog posts to briefings, launch events to roundtables.

Convening in both Manchester and London Policy Week 2017 engaged with a range of key stakeholders on the industrial strategy, the Budget and the role of Universities Post-Brexit.

Policy Week 2017 kicked off with the launch of the Industrial Strategy Commission in London on Monday, 6 March 2017. Find out more about submitting evidence.

The Creative Industries Roundtable was held on Tuesday, 7 March 2017 and brought key stakeholders from the creative industries together to discuss their role and contribution to the industrial strategy.

Our Budget Hack event was held on Wednesday, 8 March 2017 where those interested in the budget were invited to tweet and blog their thoughts on the Chancellor’s first Spring Budget.

Working in partnership with the Manchester Urban Institute Lord Professor David Blunkett spoke about the role of Universities post Brexit, arguing that while aspiring to remain international the mission for Universities is essentially local.
