Planning for Prevention
Our publication Planning for Prevention provides a blueprint for health policymakers driving the shift from sickness to prevention of long-term conditions.
Planning for Prevention draws together evidence and recommendations from experts at The University of Manchester. It considers the direct interventions that can help prevent long-term conditions such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, or diabetes, alongside broader actions on the wider determinants of health, the impact of shifting service to the community, and the need for a holistic approach to prevention. Informed by the aims of the 10 Year Health Plan, and the wider health mission to tackle inequalities, Planning for Prevention presents health leaders with tangible next steps to make these goals a reality.
